Gent

I was in Europe for the end of May and most of June. Here's a picture taken in Northern Gent, in what seemed to be the largest Turkish neighborhood in the city, near where I had enjoyed a delicious "pastry" (means some kind of a meat sandwich) minutes earlier.

I'm back in the States now, looking for work, and (hopefully) organizing a local show to benefit an ALS research/treatment foundation. I will certainly let you know about that if it is indeed in the cards.

The days here just don't last the way they do over there. In Utrecht and even in Gent, too, each day felt like a week, as usually there was daylight for about 17 hours. Plus everyday was a challenge, with new information, more things to figure out, customs, buttermilk because I couldn't read the bottle...I am already aching for the newness again, and I would love to go somewhere out in the Southwest of this country later this summer. We will see.
